Dragonforce will release their new album Extreme Power Metal on September 27, and judging by both the cover art and the ensuing music videos, it seems like the band is leaning into the whole "video game metal" joke now. As an added surprise to the record, Dragonforce has now revealed that they're covering Celine Dion's 1997 mega hit "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie Titanic. Though it's not a heartfelt ballad, as you'll find out from the band's teaser below.
Guitarist Herman Li recently spoke a little about the cover to Dead Press.
It was about making an epic song on every DragonForce album, and it fits in well with the whole theme of the album and the fun artwork and just having fun with it. It’s really catchy and people like it.
