Death Of Kings only came to my attention a few days ago, but in that time I've probably spun this new EP more times than I can count. It's an easy listen, a two song recording with the exciting single "Hell Comes To Life" and then an insane cover of a Judas Priest classic, "Hell Patrol". A band who thrive in the tradition of bands like Three Inches Of Blood, Exodus, and of course Testament there is a certain beauty to the madness and surprisingly technical insanity of this band. These guys have been around since 2009 and it feels that with the Hell Comes To Life EP the band is tapping into exciting new markets and driving for a bold future that few of their peers can truly compete with. The fact that the band wears their influences on their collective sleeve only serves to make things all the more fun. Death Of Kings understand the inherent magic and fun of heavy metal and though their music is a unique brand of over the top and in your face they temper it with a professionalism and hyper polished approach that means you'll be headbanging for days.

The band had this to say:

Hell Comes to Life is an embodiment of our band philosophy and indicative of the intensity of our live performances. Overcome with rage and out for blood, this record evokes visions of a disgraced priest massacring his village after witnessing his wife's immolation at the stake. Accompanied by scorching guitars and thundering drums, he takes his revenge.
