Danny Elfman and Trent Reznor teamed up for a rework of Elfman's track "True" last year, and now they're back with a rework of "Native Intelligence." The new version of the song is the perfect blend of progressive orchestrations and straightforward rock, which really could also be said (and has been said) of Elfman's new record Big Mess.

Elfman also recently announced an incredibly expansive box set version of his new album Big Mess, including bonus discs of unheard remixes, never–before-released songs with featured vocalists including Rebekah Del Rio, FEVER333, Blixa Bargeld, and tons of photos and goodies. The Big Mess box set is available here.

Elfman will also perform his Danny Elfman: From Boingo to Batman to Big Mess and Beyond! shows at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 16 and April 23. The shows will see him perform tracks from Big Mess live for the first time ever along with Oingo Boingo songs, which he has not performed since their 1995 farewell tour, as well as other music spanning his entire career.
