Big Business, the band consisting of ex-Melvins drummer Coady Willis and bassist Jared Warren, will release their new record The Beast You Are on April 12. The record is Big Business' second effort in quite some time as a duo, which they say opens their sound up to a lot more experimentation.
“It gives us more room to be weirder in certain aspects and try different things. It makes sense because that’s how we established ourselves in the beginning and how we learned to write songs together, it was just the two of us.”
The new song "Time And Heat" is a monstrous, synth-heavy track that edges on psychedelic almost its entire runtime, and it rocks. Which also says a lot about the duo's songwriting abilities – five minutes is a long time to keep a song captivating.
