While the rock and metal world is currently obsessed with slapping any and every band name onto a beer bottle or some other piece of strange, possibly sex-related merchandise, Soundgarden is not. Instead, Soundgarden has teamed up with Seattle's ice cream store Full Tilt Ice Cream to begin selling the band's upcoming frozen snack, Black Hole Rum.
The ice cream will be available exclusively through the stores starting on October 30. No word on why Soundgarden didn't go with some play on words with "Spoonman," or even tried to stretch it/offend people by naming the ice cream Jesus Christ Froze, but maybe we'll see those in the future? The former, that is – I don't think Soundgarden's going to take my advice on the Jesus one.
