Linkin Park will be teaming up again with Funko for an upcoming release for the toy conglomerate’s Pop! Albums series. In 2020, Funko took a crack at the band’s Hybrid Theory album, and now that albums remix LP, Reanimation, is next in line to join its predecessor.
The figure creation will arrive July 30, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the diamond-plus platinum smash. You can pre-order yours for both Funko and Linkin Park directly.
Last week, Linkin Park digitally reissued their 2007 album Minutes To Midnight for its 15th anniversary, which in addition to the original version of the album, features bonus tracks that originally appeared on the Japanese and iTunes versions of the album. Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda recently said in a Twitch stream that no plans other than the aforementioned reissues are in the works for Linkin Park.
"The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that… Yeah, we talk every few weeks — I talk to the guys, or some of the guys. And there's no tours, there's no music, there's no albums in the pipeline. Okay, so let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening. I'm just gonna say that much for now. I say that because anytime the band says anything or does anything, everyone tries to start up the hype train, and we're, like, 'No, no, no, no. Don't start up the hype train.' You're gonna disappoint yourself. Don't do that."
To date, Linkin Park has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide. Their hard-edged riffs and suburban angst came arena rock-ready, and captured the zeitgeist of early 2000s metal and hard rock worldwide alongside other scene-giants such as Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, and P.O.D. Vocalist Chester Bennington passed away at the age of 41 in 2017. The band has remained all but dormant since.
