Amon Amarth has released its very own red wine. It is an Australian Shiraz and, interestingly enough, is only available in Germany. The Swedes join the ranks of many other metal bands, including Slayer and Motorhead, to release an alcoholic beverage.
The band recommends enjoying their wine with a “hearty roast venison” while listening to “Pursuit of Vikings” from their Fate of Norns album. The 2012 wine is going for around 15 Euros, which is roughly 20 US dollars. So if you get thirsty while reading your Norse mythology by candlelight, the Shiraz can be purchased here: EMP Merchandise
The group, via their website, has also revealed their first tour date of 2013. They will be playing the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6th. The festival will run from June 5th through June 8th of 2013 and feature KISS and Rush, among others.
