Yes, That Was MASTODON On Game of Thrones Last Night!

Was last night's episode not amazing?

Was last night's episode not amazing?

Last night was, without question, the most insane episode of Game of Thrones in the show's five-season history. I won't spoil too much, but if you're not on board with the most awesome show on television, here's another reason to climb aboard the hype train. Last night's episode featured Mastodon members Bill Kelliher, Brent Hinds and Brann Dailor cast as extras part of the Wildlings clan. As I was watching the show, there was one shot in particular where I was like "hmm, that sure looks like Brent," and sure enough it was.

Brann Dailor told of the experience (Warning – Spoilers ahead):

It was such an incredible experience to be on set as extras for our collective favorite show Game Of Thrones and to be wildlings murdered and then brought back to life by White Walkers was beyond amazing. I watched my best friends Brent and Bill, murdered right in front of me as I myself was stabbed in the stomach and had my throat slit multiple times, and I didn't mind at all. It made me love being in Mastodon even more. We are more than privileged and honored to have been a part of one of the greatest stories ever told on film, and the catering wasn't bad either.

Coincidentally, Mastodon contributed a new track to the Game of Thrones mixtape called "White Walker." Take a listen to that amazing track here.
