I was about to crack a joke about someone at the New York Times being hip to metal, but it's not like Pantera is some underground band that nobody knows. Plus, The Times has streamed albums from bands like Wolves In the Throne Room before, so they know what's up. Pantera's official Twitter posted a picture of the crossword puzzle late last Friday:

Here's hoping The Times includes more metal! Maybe we'll get some Metallica jokes in there? Or better yet, maybe they'll start throwing in really obscure references just to screw with people hellbent on finishing them.
