Linkin Park has had a rough year, but last night was supposed to be a celebration. It was the annual American Music Awards, and the band had just won Favorite Alternative Rock Artist beating out the likes of Imagine Dragons and twenty one pilots.
The band go on stage, give a touching acceptance speech in memory of their late vocalist, Chester Bennington. Here's some video.

Then, the band walks backstage…and get kicked out of the show! There seemed to be an issue with credentials and security was unaware of who they were, even though these guys WERE HOLDING AN AWARD THEY JUST WON, they were not let back into the main award show venue. Rock Feed has the video. Take a look:
This begs the question – did the security guard not know who Linkin Park was or did he know exactly who they were and was just living for his one true moment? We'll never find out.
Linkin Park recently announced a new live album release for next month, featuring some of Chester Bennington's final performances with the band. A few weeks ago, the band held a huge memorial for Chester at the Hollywood Bowl, inviting some of their closest friends from bands like Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon and more up on stage to help them sing Chester's parts. Footage of the entire concert can be seen here.
