If ever you needed a reminder to keep your phones in your front pocket, this is it. Evening Standard is reporting that nearly 100 phones were reported stolen during a concert at the Roundhouse, in Camden, UK on March 1st where metalcore act While She Sleeps was performing.
A "pickpocket gang" is being blamed for the action. An attendee told Evening Standard that security told him that 50 phones were stolen in the first three songs.
Another attendee said that on their way out, fans were forced to unlock their phones to prove the phones belonged to them.
Conor Burke, who had his iPhone 7 stolen, said, "From the people I saw and talked to, and the amount of people coming and going, I'd say there was a minimum of 100 people. It was just ridiculous — it ruined the gig."
While She Sleeps were eventually made aware of the theft and cautioned fans to be careful.
