English metalcore outfit While She Sleeps is currently in the midst of their first North American headlining tour. The band stopped New York City’s Gramercy Theatre on Wednesday, playing to a packed house of excited fans.
Local act The Machinist opened the show with a powerfully heavy set, followed by epic performances by Savage Hands and He Is Legend (both of whom are on for the full tour). While She Sleeps' 12-song set included songs from all of their albums, with a focus on their newest record "So What?" as well as their 2017 release, "You Are We". Band members found their way into the crowd throughout the performance, with guitarist Mat Welsh at one point performing while engulfed in a circle pit. "We were afraid the room would be empty!", singer Lawrence Taylor joked in between songs, but the loud cheers from the crowd signaled quite the opposite.
The tour continues tonight in Poughkeepsie, NY and continues through mid-March, wrapping at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, AZ on March 17th.
