Much like Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, Judas Priest frontman was asked by Rolling Stone to compile his favorite metal albums.
It's all part of Rolling Stone's quest to list the 100 greatest metal albums of all time, which they did earlier in the week. Rob's list includes some nu-metal albums, which may surprise some:
10. Motörhead – Ace Of Spades
9. Slipknot – Slipknot
8. Emperor – Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk
7. Dio – Holy Diver
6. Pantera – Cowboys From Hell
5. Slayer – Reign In Blood
4. Iron Maiden – Iron M aiden
3. Korn – Korn
2. Metallica – Kill ‘Em All
1. Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath
Halford noted to Rolling Stone that Korn's debut "brought a new definition of metal that was a game changer." I would say that's accurate. Read more of his thoughts on his picks over at Rolling Stone.
