The future of Black Sabbath is one that's in flux. What remains concrete is that the tour it's currently on will be the band's final tour, but after that, things are pretty up in the air. The latest news is Tony Iommi saying maybe to a new album and Geezer Butler saying his life will be pretty empty without Sabbath.
Now in a recent podcast episode of Talk Is Jericho, Iommi says that Black Sabbath may possibly do some festival appearances here and there after the tour.
"I wouldn't write that off, if one day that came about. That's possible. Or even doing an album, 'cause then, again, you're in one place. But I don't know if that would happen."
After having Black Sabbath be a part of his life for 50+ years, I'm sure it's difficult to just hang it up and definitely say that there will be no more Black Sabbath anything after this tour. So as long as all the members of the band can stay healthy and safely make appearances at festivals, why not? Long live Black Sabbath for as long as Black Sabbath can live on for!
