The identities of Megadeth's new guitarist and drummer is slowly getting on the level of Slipknot proportions here.
After drummer Shawn Drover and guitar Chris Broderick quit the group last year unexpectedly, we haven't heard much about the new guys sans a faceless video of a drummer jamming with Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson. We though it was former Megadeth drummer Nick Menza given that he hinted at it being him, but now we're thinking otherwise due to the below tweet of Menza saying he's been in the studio with ex-'Deth members guitarist Chris Poland and bassist James Lomenzo:
My apologies for the radio silence. I've been locked away in the studio with Chris, James incredibly busy pic.twitter.com/kNMxw1JKzW

So… maybe it's not him. Unless he's just wrapping this project up and then going off to be in Megadeth? Nobody knows anymore. What we do know at the very least is that frontman Dave Mustaine has finally owned up to not liking 2013's Supercollider and promises the group is done writing radio songs. So if I had to guess at it, I'd say expect a new guitarist and drummer who can shred the shit out of their instruments. Megadeth is going to go heavy once more!
