Study Shows Anxiety And Depression Runs Rampant Among Metal Fans

Ugh, I'm not even going to write a solid lead for this article- I'm too sad being brutal.

So usually when you think metal head, you think things like "way pissed off" and "super brutal," but depressed and anxious? That's what the studies are saying! According to the article published in the Pacific Standard Magazine

An analysis of 551 college students found “significantly higher levels of anxiety and depression among listeners of heavy metal/hard rock music, as compared with non-listeners.” Furthermore, their underlying level of anger was not significantly different from their peers who prefer other musical genres.

Great… so we're equally as angry as everyone else, but way more of a bitch about it. We're the new emo kids of this decade (which will totally give you a lazy eye), that's not cool. The only thing I can find that may be wrong with the study is that it's based solely on what the participants say and was not tracked on a day-to-day basis, so who knows how reliable the information they recieved actually was. Yeah, people tend to lie about things- shocker. The bottom line is that everyone needs to either perk the hell up or becomes way more angry than they are sad on a daily basis, and remember! Don't be anxious about life, because it's going to happen whether you worry about it or not. Wait… didn't we say this was going to happen a while back? I think we did. You should click that link and make sure.

Oh, and P.S.- look at that image at the top of this article. Does that piss you off enough to stop being depressed and start being angry? It should, you sad, anxious waterbag, you.
