Or at least that's how I'm interpreting this study. So this dude in France basically walked around and asked girls for their numbers while holding various items, one of which being a guitar case. Here's the excerpt from the study-
One day, this fellow approached 300 women ranging in age from 18 to about 22. He said hello and added, “I think you’re really pretty” (which sounds very nice in French) and asked for their phone numbers. During a third of the encounters, he was carrying a guitar case. For another third, he was holding a sports bag. For the last third, he wasn't holding anything.
When he was carrying the guitar case, 31 percent of the ladies gave him their phone number. Only 14 percent gave him their number when he was empty-handed, and that figure dropped to an unhealthy 9 percent when he was holding the sports bag.
The study then goes on to point out that even on the Internet, girls are more likely to talk to you if you have a guitar. Now, I'm not saying that a guitar give you a great personality or anything- you gotta work on that yourself. All the guitar is getting you is the initial what's up and the rest is up to you not being a douche. Too bad all you metal guys are too depressed to even leave your house, though.
