Joey Jordison Calls SLIPKNOT "Cowardly" For Firing Him In A "Stupid Fucking Email"

Tell us how you really feel, Joey.

Tell us how you really feel, Joey.

Joey Jordison has a lot on his mind. Last week, at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, he revealed he's been battling transverse myelitis, a form of multiple sclerosis, which affects his nervous system, and that was the reason he had to exit Slipknot. He later revealed that during his last days in Slipknot, he literally had to be carried to the stage.

Metal Hammer conducted an interview with Jordison after he accepted the award, and have been slowly leaking out soundbites. Yesterday, Jordison seemed calm and upbeat saying he'd love to reunite with his brothers in Slipknot. Today's quote doesn't seem so cheery.

In a new excerpt, Jordison reveals he was hurt that the band decided to fire him over "stupid fucking email" saying:

"No band meeting? None. Anything from management? No, nothing. All I got was a stupid fucking email saying I was out of the band that I busted my ass my whole life to fucking create. That's exactly what happened and it was hurtful. I didn't deserve that shit after what I'd done and everything I'd been through."

He then mentions the previously rumored reason for his dismissal, drug issues, and how the rest of the band assumed he was just high when he was actually dealing with MS:

"They got confused about my health issues and obviously even I didn't know what it was at first. They thought I was fucked up on drugs, which I wasn't at all. I've been through so many things with those guys and I love them very much. What's hurtful is the way it went down was not fucking right. That's all I want to say. They way they did it was fucking cowardly. It was fucked up."

Despite his hard feelings, Jordison insists that he has nothing for love for his ex-bandmates, and revealed (in yesterday's excerpt) that he enjoyed their latest album, .5 The Gray Chapter.

It will be interesting to see how members of Slipknot respond to these accusations. For once, we can ask, without a bit of irony… what does Corey Taylor think about all of this?
