Late Friday afternoon, we learned that Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor was to undergo emergency spinal surgery and that Slipknot's big summer tour with Marilyn Manson was forced to postpone the first two weeks of the tour.
The surgery looked to be a success, as over the weekend, Taylor posted the above photo, looking in good spirits with a neck brace on. Taylor revealed he broke his neck without even knowing it and that the doctors had to do emergency surgery to have two discs in his spine replaced:
Basically broke my neck a while back & didn't realize it. Had 2 have disc replaced & work on vertebrae. Those 1st shows rescheduled for Aug.

Taylor's road to recovery has already begun in preparation for his return to the stage June 28 in Nashville, TN. It will be interesting to see what type of mobility Taylor will have, with the knowledge of his neck injury. Will he be bound to a throne, like Axl Rose and Dave Grohl? I guess we'll find out soon enough.
The first two weeks of the tour will be postponed for August. We'll keep you posted when the new routing is announced.
