The time has come – Carnifex is ready to release a new record. The album is titled Slow Death and it'll be out on August 5 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was mixed by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, DevilDriver) and was produced by Jason Suecof (Trivium, All That Remains) and Mick Kenney, frontman of Anaal Nathrakh, meaning it'll probably be heavy as fuck.
Frontman Scott Ian Lewis has some pretty bold claims to make about the new stuff, so we'll see if it holds up to this or not.
"Album number six, over 10 years as a band and we have more fire and passion than ever. This album will reshape our genre and be looked back on as an album that started a new movement for aggressive, dark metal. We're going to show those who love us and those who hate us just how far reaching our ambition is."
The artwork you'll see below was done by Godmachine, and the reveal also includes a bit of new music to tide you over! Or make you want new music even worse than you did before.
