No, Nickelback isn't metal but this is pretty funny.
There have been plenty of attempts to thwart Nickelback in the past. Be it the guy who wrote the best preview to a Nickelback show ever, or the NickelBLOCK Chrome extension which hides all mentions of the Canadian band. Nickelback has caused other people some harm too, like this guy who got detained for yelling "Nickelback" in public, or that guy who got caught trying to sneak IN to one of their shows.
Now, one British man is taking things a step further. He wants to ensure Nickelback never come to London, England. He has started a crowdfunding campaign which currently has 24 backers to help with the cause.
The reason for the crowdfunding is confusing to me. Shouldn't this just be a petition? While initially there was no mention of where the money would go, perks for submitting included "a nasty email written to Nickelback on your behalf" and "sending Nickelback their own music."
While some criticized to fund creator for looking to profit, he has promised that all donated money will be sent to charity. Okay, sure…but what about Nickelback? Where do we send them?
