BLACK SABBATH Might Play Its Last-Ever Show In Birmingham

With Bill Ward or without?

With Bill Ward or without?

Black Sabbath's The End tour is generating a pretty consistent amount of buzz, and today is no different. In an interview with The Birmingham Mail, guitarist and father of the riffs Tony Iommi said that maybe the group could end the entire tour where Black Sabbath began in the first place – Birmingham, England.

“We are off to Australia in a couple of weeks, but it would be nice to think it could finish back where it all started – in Birmingham. When we are home where we started, we have always found it a bit nerve-wracking, but Birmingham means such a lot to us.”

Obviously this begs the question of it Bill Ward will come back and play that final show, what the setlist would be, where it would be, what kind of capacity that show would demand, and all that. A final show in the place where it all began would be wonderful, but I think the circumstances would make it or break it for a lot of people. That's to say, if the show even happens!

Iommi also said there could be a live album that comes out of the tour, but nothing's been extensively discussed just yet.
