If there is one industry doing worse off than the music industry because of the internet, it has to be the porn business. You see, before the internet, pornography was sold on tapes and DVDs for $50 a pop!! If you actually bought a porno, you were definitely watching the whole thing through on account of dropping that much money on it. But with the proliferation of the internet and file sharing, demand for pornography went down. Soon, streaming Youtube clones came about and made download sites obsolete. One of the premiere streaming sites for porn is the appropriately titled PornHub.

Of all the porn sites out there, I feel like PornHub is the most socially proactive. They tweet funny tweets, they interact with users. They hold Photoshop contests. And now, they're starting…a record label?!
You would think a company that had a lot to do with taking down an entire industry of media consumption would think twice about producing and trying to distribute new original content, but these guys seem to have a plan. PornHub VP Corey Price tells Billboard:
"We're looking for acts that aren't necessarily porn-focused," says Price. "We're an ad-based network looking for content that appeals to our demographic. Mature lyrics for an adult audience; no boy bands or teen-pop, for instance." Though the site goes live today (Sept. 24), Pornhub has already received around 50 submissions since they announced the contest. "Producers, music technicians, everyone in the business you could imagine," he adds. "There's erotic folk, rap, country — everybody has come to us." He stresses that entrants don't even need to be in the music business.
The first artist signed to their label is rapper Coolio, remember him?!
I think there is a litany of pornogrind bands that would do perfectly on this new X-rated label. Think of all the disgusting videos they can freely create. They should clearly reissue the Anal Cunt discography. Maybe a new EP from Cock and Ball Torture? My personal recommendation is that PornHub get Anal Chainsaw to come out of retirement to finally record their first record.
