We recently revealed a couple dream setlist/tour articles featuring Devin Townsend and Between the Buried and Me. To continue this theme, we have frontman Neil Fallon from Clutch.
The group just recently wrapped up their tour with Lamb of God and Corrosion of Conformity, which I think is one hell of a package. Read below to see what Neil Fallon would choose as his dream tour and setlist and let us know which bands and songs you'd personally choose.
What band that you have yet to share the stage with would you like to?
We’ve toured with all kinds of bands. I think it is important to get out of your comfort zone and not preach to your own choir. Most of the bands I’d want to tour with is just for selfish reasons because I really like them. I’d love to tour with someone like ZZ Top or AC/DC. We did a tour with Motorhead and every night I had to pinch myself because I could not believe it was happening.
If you had to pick one song from each album to be included in the setlist, which would they be?
- Transnational Speedway League – “El Jefe Speaks”
- Clutch – “Big News I & II”
- The Elephant Riders – “Crackerjack”
- Jam Room – “Who Wants to Rock?”
- Pure Rock Fury – “Pure Rock Fury”
- Blast Tyrant – “The Regulator”
- Robot Hive/Exodus – “Gravel Road”
- From Beale Street to Oblivion – “One Eye Dollar”
- Strange Cousins from the West – “Abraham Lincoln”
- Earth Rocker – “D.C. Sound Attack!”
- Psychic Warfare – “A Quick Death in Texas”
Which three countries would have to be included in the run?
I’d choose countries we haven’t been to. I’d really like to play in Hong Kong, Istanbul, and I wouldn’t mind being in Mexico City.
And lastly for any visual component, what would you want given an infinite budget?
We’re not one for pyrotechnics and all that stuff, but I wouldn’t mind having some lasers. I am a sucker for a good laser.
