It's Hallo-weekend. I was going to go dressed as the easiest Waldo ever to spot, but I never had enough time to buy my outfit, so I'm just going as 'the dude from Metal Injection.' I wonder how many people will figure it out. If you're spending the weekend indoors, or reading this after waking from a Hallo-hangover, here is what you missed this week:
Without question, the most viewed page this week (and last) was this page with these videos of Police Academy's Michael Winslow crushing some Led Zeppelin tunes.
We were absolutely stunned by this JapPop metal band with 12 year old gorls on vocals
The last few days saw a good amount of new music videos come through the pipeline. Check out new clips from Carnifex, Winds of Plague, Darkest Hour, Trivium, Tesseract, Machine Head, Korn, Leperous, Black Veil Brides, Huntress, and Volumes.
We posted a new song from Kvelertak, new live footage of Turbid North, Battlecross, Barn Burner, Arsis.
We learned that Metallica is working on a 3D film. We listened to Lulu and it sucked. Meanwhile, we found out Jason Newstead's current band sounds like.
We heard a rumor that Black Sabbath might be touring with Judas Priest and Motorhead in 2012, and we hope it's true!
We counted down our 15 favorite Beavis & Butthead metal video reviews in celebration of the show's return.
We looked back to a time when Roadrunner Records was the premiere death metal label in the world.
If you're going to party this weekend, don't forget to take a photo of yourself beforehand to submit to our Costume Contest, and you can win a sweet guitar. Also, remember the Livecast is now on Sunday nights from 7p-9p eastern, and this Sunday we'll have Michael Starr of Steel Panther on the show, so tune the fuck in!
