A Week In Which BLACK SABBATH Reunited

What a week this has been for metal. We started the week with a diva fit from Danzig and ended with confirmation of the Black Sabbath reunion. Sometimes, as a blogger, yo ucan't ask for a better week. Here are the top stories and videos you may have missed in the last 7 days:

The biggest news of the week, of course, is that Black Sabbath officially announced they were reuniting, and recording a new album with Rick Rubin as well as scheduling a worldwide tour in the Summer of 2012. I'm pretty excited about this.

This week saw new music video releases from RAMMSTEINREVOCATIONPARADISE LOST AUGUST BURNS REDEPICA and CIRCLES.

The funniest/most random video of the week is of former Cannibal Corpse and current Six Feet Under frontman Chris Barnes as a used car pitchman. Seriously! A close second has to be this video of every track off Slayer's Reign In Blood played at the same time.

We got to hang out with CYNIC and talk about their awesome new EP, and they shared some fun LSD anecdotes.

We learned that the new side project featuring Mastodon's Brent HindsDillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen and ex-Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery will be named Giraffe Tongue Orchestra.

Slayer announced they'll be playing Reign in Blood in full at an upcoming show, and not to be outdone, Metallica announced they will be playing The Black Album in full at Download 2012 to celebrate that album's 20th anniversary.

We are really excited that Ghost is coming back to the US for a proper 13-date headlining tour.

We giggled at Danzig's diva-like fit at this past weekend's Fun Fun Fun Fest.

Alright, if you need us, we'll be at the supermarket getting some french onion soup. We'll see you guys on Sunday night for the Livecast with special guest caller Andrew WK.
