Yes, David Draiman's New Band DEVICE Still Sorta Sounds Like DISTURBED

I had a perverse curiosity about the sound of David Draiman's new industrial project, Device. Will it basically be Disturbed 2.0? Short answer: sort of.

Draiman has described the band as an industrial project, so the music does in fact sound pretty mechanical. But, Draiman's signature voice cannot be missed and immediately takes me back to his "ooo-wah-ah-ah-ah" days with Disturbed. Although, I will say there is no scatting on this song, so at least it's differentiated that way. Progress? I guess.

Device's self-titled debut comes out April 9th and boasts guest appearances from Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold, Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, and Glenn Hughs of Deep Purple and Black Country Communion.
