Abysmal Lord – "Ultra Expulser"

Abysmal Lord just released their latest record Bestiary Of Immortal Hunger and you can check out the overtly evil single "Ultra Expulser" below. If anything, the single provides some evil laughter overtop cymbal choke riffs before all hell breaks loose… and who doesn't need that? Get Bestiary Of Immortal Hunger here.

Act Of Impalement – "Summoning The Final Conflagration"

Act Of Impalement will release their first new album in four years Infernal Ordinance on February 2. You can begin the impalement right now with their fiery new single "Summoning The Final Conflagration," which leans a little harder into the band's death metal sound than plodding doom. Pre-orders are available here.

Aerith – "Thy New Design"

Aerith is here to make melodic death metal trendy again with their brand new single "Thy New Design." The single features guest vocals from Lee Mintz of Greylotus and guest drums by Josh Dummer of Buried Realm for maximum melodeath goodness. The single was mixed and given artwork by Nick Riggz.

Ahab – "Colossus Of The Liquid Graves"

Ahab will explore the deepest trenches of the ocean with their new record The Coral Tombs due out January 13. You can start swimming toward the bottom and feeling the immense pressure with their latest single "Colossus Of The Liquid Graves" below. Pending your survival, you can pre-order The Coral Tombs here.

Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean – "Decadence In The House Of Rats"

If you're looking for Primitive Man-styled sludge laden with feedback and seething hatred, you're going to love Chained To The Bottom Of The Ocean's latest EP I Tried Catching You But You Fell Through Me. Check out the shorter single "Decadence In The House Of Rats" below and download the EP here on Bandcamp.

Congealed Putrescence – "Gelid Fathomless Suffering"

Congealed Putrescence is here to break out every you don't know with their new single "Gelid Fathomless Suffering." And if you haven't guessed by their name and song title, Congealed Putrescence is disgusting, grinding death metal. Get their new EP Within The Ceaseless Murk here on Bandcamp.

Conjureth – "Smothering Psalms"

Conjureth is back with their second full-length album and it sounds like it's gonna be as gross as they've ever sounded. Conjureth will release The Parasitic Chambers on January 23 and is now streaming the death-heavy, thrash-leaning new single "Smothering Psalms." Pre-orders for The Parasitic Chambers are available here.

Crawl – "10,000 Polehammers"

Crawl (not the Swedish crust band) is a one-man project headed up by Michael A. Engle as he performs drums, bass, vocals, and samples all at once. The result this time around is a sludgy 10 crusher named "10,000 Polehammers" from a new album Damned due out February 3. Pre-orders are available here.

Dryad – "Pompeii Worm"

Allow Dryad to drag you to the depths of the ocean with their latest single "Pompeii Worm," whose sound is hopeless as it is cavernous. And with the accompanying visuals that show nothing more than the horror directly in front of you, "hopeless" certainly seems like the word. Pre-order The Abyssal Plain here, due out January 20.

Entheos – "In Purgatory"

Entheos, currently vocalist Chaney Crabb and multi-instrumentalist Navene Koperweis, is rolling out their first new material since 2017 and it's all technical madness. No new record has yet been announced, but Entheos' latest single "In Purgatory" should keep you waiting.

Entropia – "Retox"

Entropia will release their first new record in four years Total on March 17 and is now streaming the lengthy single "Retox." It's one hell of an opener for an album that moves at a pace slighter faster than glacial, and captures a very angular-yet-bleak feeling. Pre-orders for Total are available here.

God Dethroned – "Asmodevs"

God Dethroned recently celebrated their signing to Atomic Fire with the new single "Asmodevs," and it's as evil as you'd expect from the band. When asked about the single, God Dethroned offered: "Asmodevs' is one of the oldest demons known to mankind. He appears in ancient scriptures as the prince of demons and hell."

Hanging Garden – "The Four Winds"

Hanging Garden has gone from largely being a doom band to more of a straightforward, gothic-tinged metal act seemingly inspired by Anathema and it's pretty excellent. Hanging Garden will release The Garden on March 24. Pre-orders are available here, and you can check out "The Four Winds" below.

Hellripper – "The Nuckelavee"

Hellripper is back with a new single "The Nuckelavee" and a new record Warlocks Grim & Withered Hags ready for February 17. If you're ready to go so fucking fast that all your skin peels off and everything inside you disintegrates into the howling winds, then you're going to love this. Pre-orders are available here.

Hypno5e – "Sheol Part II"

Hypno5e is back with another shining example of slowly driving and progressive-tinged post-metal, this time in the form of their latest single "Sheol Part II – Lands of Haze." Hypno5e will release their new record Sheol on February 24, and pre-orders are available here.

Imperium Dekadenz – "November Monument"

German black metal duo Imperium Dekadenz will release their new album Into Sorrow Evermore on January 20 and is now streaming their bleak new single "November Monument." So get your walking boots, because you're headed right into the forest. Into Sorrow Evermore is available for pre-order here.

Leper Colony – "A Flow So Greatly Macabre"

Leper Colony is the new band featuring vocalist Marc Grewe (ex-Morgoth, Insidious Disease), guitarist and bassist Rogga Johansson (Paganizer), and drummer Jon Skäre (Consumption). Check out their crushing single "A Flow So Greatly Macabre" below and pre-order Prayers To Oblivion here before it comes out on February 24.

Misþyrming – "Með hamri"

After three years of silence, Misþyrming suddenly returned with a brand new full-length album Með hamri in December. If you haven't checked it out yet, feel free to get leveled with the fairly-succinct and utterly devastating title track below. Með hamri is available here.

Ne Obliviscaris – "Equus"

Ne Obliviscaris is streaming the new single "Equus," which they dedicated to all the lives lost (human and animal) during the Australian bushfires throughout 2019 and 2020. As for the music, it's as epic as you'd expect from Ne Obliviscaris this far into their career. Pre-orders for Exul are available here.

Poxx – "Sigil Of Strangulation"

From the depths of Fresno, CA comes the death metal of Poxx. The band released their new EP Undying in December and you really ought to check out the single "Sigil Of Strangulation." It's all the cavernous, face-caving-in riffs and bleghs you could possibly need. Get Undying here.

Rotten Sound – "Sharing"

Long-running Finnish grindcore act Rotten Sound is back with their first new record in seven years Apocalypse, due out March 31. Rotten Sound is now streaming your first taste of the new record "Sharing," which is sure to grind everything that you are into a bloody dust. Apocalypse is available for pre-order here.

Sarcoptes – "Tet"

All I'm saying is that if you don't get into this new Sarcoptes single "Tet," that cosmic skull on the album cover will find you. I don't know what it'll do to you, but it definitely can't be good. Sarcoptes will release Prayers To Oblivion on February 24. Pre-orders are available here.

71TonMan – "Famine"

71TonMan will return with their four-song album Of End Times due out March 3. Of End Times is going to move at a glacially slow pace and steamroll everything in its path, as you'll see with their latest single and album closer "Famine." Pre-orders for Of End Times are available here on Bandcamp.

Shores Of Null – "Nothing Left To Burn"

Italian gloom purveyors Shores Of Null will release their new record The Loss Of Beauty on March 24, and is now streaming the single "Nothing Left To Burn." If it's not grey and gloomy outside by you, just hit play – I'm sure this track will summon that weather. The Loss Of Beauty is out March 24 and is available for pre-order here.

Sonic Poison – "Library Slasher"

Sonic Poison feels like an appropriate name for this brand of grinding punk rock. "Library Slasher" maybe less so, but I've also never been stabbed in a library before. So maybe this is what it feels like? Sonic Poison will release Eruption on January 27. Pre-orders are available here.

Tithe – "Inverse Rapture"

Tithe will release Inverse Rapture on February 27 and is inviting you into their gory, gloomy world right now with the single "Inverse Rapture." Which I assume is whatever is happening to those poor bastards on the album cover below. Inverse Rapture is available for pre-order here.

Tribunal – "Without Answer"

Tribunal is here to keep you frozen in winter with their latest, doomed single "Without Answer." The single comes alongside a music video directed by Erik Gustafson and perfectly captures that gloomy, dark feeling that flows throughout the song. Pre-orders are available here prior to the album's release on January 20.

Ulthar – "Astranumeral Octave Chants"

Ulthar is back with two brand new records – Anthronomicon, which is eight tracks of cosmic death metal; and Helionomicon, which is two 20-minute tracks that will likely atomize you.
