I really need to stop watching awful award shows. I happened to be visiting my parents last night and assumed this would be a decent distraction from any interaction with them. Not. worth. it. The one bright spot of the award show was seeing Trent fucking Reznor and his partner in crime, Atticus Ross win an Academy Award. Trent Reznor… the dude who wants to 'fuck you like an animal' is an Oscar winner. Pretty surreal moment! While I personally thought that Hans Zimmer deserved the prize for his stellar work with the Inception score (fuck, there was nothing I didn't love about that movie), I still found myself very excited to see Reznor and Ross up there. Then again, the Three Six Mafia are also Oscar winners so maybe I shouldn't be that surprised.
