TODAY IS THE DAY And UNSANE Members Team Up For A Noisy, Grating Project Called UXO

It's a little rock n' roll and a little noise art.

It's a little rock n' roll and a little noise art.

UXO, the "new" group consisting of Unsane frontman Chris Spencer and Today Is the Day's Steve Austin, pretty much came out of nowhere. Technically the group has been around since 2013, but there's been no material since then and unfortunately UXO was never mentioned heavily around the metal media outlets. So let's change that!

The band will be releasing its debut, self-titled album on January 29 via Reptilian Records and you can check out the grating, noisy, almost grinding new song titled "Trauma" below.

I love that this song straddles the line between a fuzzy, acid-laden rock and roll project and something a lot more sinister and heavy… yet it never sways too heavily in either direction. Props to Rolling Stone for turning us on to this one!
