Hey there, tech fiends. It's that time of the week again. Before we dive into today's focus, here's the usual weekly reminder that if you're looking for even more sick bands to hear, all prior editions of this series can be perused here.

Just a few weeks ago, the awesome people at Realityfade Records dropped Rotting Sanctum, the debut EP release by the technical/brutal death metal collective A Pretext to Human Suffering. Seeing as I was unlikely to get around to covering it before 2020 ends, I'm psyched to get a chance at doing so today with the music video premiere of their song "Humanity's Final Cleanse".

If you're new to the band, A Pretext to Human Suffering dwells within the ever-increasingly popular fucked up mix of tech-death, brutal death, and slam. A trend is only as good as the results it produces, and, this trend has produced a number of my favorite bands as of late including Wormhole, Torturous Inception, Goreworm, and many others! Now that you have a framework for the type of chaotic cesspool of heaviness and brutality that awaits when you click play below on "Humanity's Final Cleanse", you'll likely have a good idea whether this is your type of jam or not.  Beyond the bludgeoning intensity of the song itself, the video I'm premiering today truly is a buck wild and awesome visual feast that pares exceptionally well with the music.

So be sure to check out the video below and check out the full release if you're digging it. You can purchase and or play Rotting Sanctum through the following multi-platform link here. After seeing the new members this project has added post-release, I'm pretty excited to hear what they do next.
