Brooklyn weirdo-rock band, Netherlands, has new music coming soon, and after listening to their new song "Deathless" I'm totally pumped for the rest! The upcoming EP, Hope Porn, is slated for release on February 9th via Records and Tapes Records..
From the immediate use of Fuzz bass and steady crashes, you may think "Deathless" is setting up to be the usual slow rider, but as we already know, Netherlands is anything but usual. As the song builds, the melodies riding on top of doom grooves captivate you in an eerie, but sincere, way that I haven't really heard since Type O Negative / Pist.on left the scene. It's an excellent track, worth smashing that repeat button!
Exclusive quote from Timo Ellis about the song:
"This song is like a Buddhist war anthem, if there could be such a thing."
As if the rad track wasn't enough, we're also premiering a new episode from Timo's super wacky talk show, Shame Party! This episode features none other than Andee Blacksugar of KMFDM.
