Tech-Death Tuesday: KILLITOROUS Dare To Cross The Streams On "Total Protonic Reversal" With Help From Voivoid Guitarist Dan Mongrain

Afterparty_ALBUM_Mock_3

Hey there, tech fiends. It's that time of the week again. Before we dive into today's focus, here's the usual weekly reminder that if you're looking for even more sick bands to hear, all prior editions of this series can be perused here.

Unless I am mistaken, this will be one of the first and hopefully only times I discuss what's going on in the world in this space. It's not been a great lately for me and those I love. But, it wasn't for most of us, so, diving into that further beyond stating the obvious that it was the reason why I couldn't write as much today is pointless. We all need an escape and I've got some more cool music to share once again.

I'm going to start from the assumption that most of you know Killitorous already given the widespread success and tech-death scene's mass awareness of their 2014 debut album, Party, Grind. If not, you missed out, and the band is dropping their second album, The Afterparty, on May 22nd through Tentacle Industries. Only this time the group has expanded their line-up to adopt a triple-guitar attack within a tech-death setting and the results are fucking awesome. We've got the exclusive premiere of "Total Protonic Reversal" for you today that features a killer guest solo from Voivod/ex-Martyr/ex-Gorguts guitar god Daniel Mongrain!

As usual, I asked the group for some extra information and Aaron from Killitorous was kind enough to mention that "This new single is both the fastest and the slowest song we've ever written…and features a guest solo from one of our heroes Dan Mongrain(Voivod/Martyr) which to us is still just mind-blowingly amazing. Obviously the song is an homage to one of the greatest movie franchises known to mankind: Ghostbusters 1 & 2. With lyrics cover everything from not crossing the streams, to Vigo The Carpathian. We have definitely gone in a bit more of a melodic direction but we've made sure to keep noisy, dissonant and chaotic riffs as a staple point of everything that is Killitorous. We are excited for what's to come from this new album and to show everyone all the crazy techy 3 guitar insanity."

So be sure to check out our exclusive premiere of Killitorous "Total Protonic Reversal" below. You can pre-order the release through Bigcartel and through their label's site. You can follow the group over on the Killitorous Facebook Page.
