From Valencia in Spain, Evadne is a melodic death/doom act who formed in 2003 and currently consists of Albert Conejero (vocals), Josan Martin (guitar), Marc Chulia (guitar), Jose Quilis (bass), and Joan Nihil (drums, vocals).
So far, the group has released an EP, a few LPs, and have shared the stage with other similar bands such as Novembers Doom, Moonspell, Swallow the Sun, Candlemass, Evoken, and more.
More recently, they announced the release of a four-track compilation album titled Dethroned Of Our Souls for next month which will include remastered tracks off their 2014 EP. We here at Metal Injection are excited to exclusively premiere the new version of "Awaiting."
The piece exudes grandiose doom metal dread excelling by theatrical piano and synth layers as well as guest vocals by Natalie Koskinen from Shape of Despair. Considering this version is a remastered track, the production is very powerful, with the same clean/dirty duality of Type O Negative's October Rust. Check out the single now.
