Behind the Horror is a project by two Brazilian, yet currently New Jersey-based brothers, Gabriel and Lucas Alves. The up-and-coming act released their debut EP …And the Horror Begins back in 2013, however are now ready with a more impactful follow-up LP that has been a work in progress for quite awhile. Burn Up this Truth will drop this month and holds seven tracks fusing elements of prog, thrash, and death metal together.
We're excited to be presenting "Storm Rage" prior to the album dropping. Although their direct influences may lean on the more classic end of the spectrum including Sepultura, Dream Theater, and of course, Metallica, their raw, thrashy, and quirky melodies could fit in with modern heavy hitting acts such as Revocation or Kvelertak. Alternatively, the duo is also creatively inspired by games like Magic: The Gathering and World of Warcraft. Prepare for the upcoming album on August 10th and check out the new single now below.
