When it comes to technical death metal, I'm a bit of a picky bastard. I like the concept, but by and large it just feels like a whole bunch of wanky nonsense played as fast as humanly possible. That being said, this new Serocs song is clearly an exception and if you think otherwise you're just wrong. "Itami" is a whirlwind of insane, mesmerizing riffs that swirl around a mechanical beat while vocalist Josh Smith sounds like he's vomiting up his skeleton… and that's a good thing!
Serocs will drop And When The Sky Was Opened sometime in November via Comatose Music and you better be throwing your money at it.
