If your Thursday is noticeably lacking some powerfully epic metal, I have some good news for you! Scythia are streaming their new track "Into the Storm" and it's just that! Plus it has a guest appearance from a certain Wintersun member.
"Into the Storm" is kind of like if Eluveitie and Amon Amarth got together and duked it out over whether their collaboration would be about vikings or folky story telling… so they just went with both. I'm rally digging this track, especially the fact that it's well-written enough where it doesn't feel nearly as long as it is! Plus the guest guitar solo from Teemu Mäntysaari of Wintersun helps. Lead guitarist and vocalist Dave Khan said about the track:
"This song is definitely one of the front-runners off of the new album. It is a great example of Scythia's musical diversity captured in less than 7 mins. It shows that we can write an orchestrated power metal anthem that evolves into a clashing instrumental that sonically represents a devastating storm. Complete with a guest appearance from Wintersun's Teemu Mäntysaari this song crushes, shred and soars above any of its predecessor's from our growing discography!"
