Revocation is one of the bands for me where I could rank its albums from best to worst, but they're all in such close competition that they're almost interchangeable. That being said, 2009's Existence Is Futile was the first one I ever heard and it absolutely destroyed my mind. How the hell was one dude playing all those riffs? Who the fuck is Dave Davidson and is he a machine?
"Monolith Ignorance" gives me the exact same vibe, though now it's Davidson and Dan Gargiulo. The song is just relentlessly heavy with a new "what the fuck" moment at every single turn. Kudos to ex-3 Inches of Blood drummer Ash Pearson for nailing his first record with the band too!
