Rage Along To ZEALOT R.I.P.'s (PIG DESTROYER, DARKEST HOUR) Debut Track "Magnetic Field Of Dreams"

Posted by on May 3, 2019 at 12:10 pm

Zealot R.I.P., the new band featuring Pig Destroyer keyboardist Blake Harrison, Darkest Hour guitarist Mike Schleibaum, Olympia guitarist Peter Tsouras, and Frodus drummer Jason Hamacher, recently unveiled their existence and immediately labeled themselves as a "death punk" band. Now with their debut track "Magnetic Field Of Dreams", it's clear why they chose that as their genre.

Learn a little more about the group below via their profile on Three One G.

Zealot R.I.P. started years ago when life-long friends, Jason Hamacher (Frodus, Battery, CombatWoundedVeteran) & Mike Schleibaum, decided to collaborate and write music that’s fast and heavy. Between Schleibaum’s relentless touring in Darkest Hour and Hamacher’s extensive documentary work in Syria, it took a few years for them to settle into a sound that’s somewhere between Entombed and Born Against. The band was recently solidified with the additions of Pig Destroyer’s Blake Harrison and Fairweather’s Peter Tsouras. This metal amalgam, upon forming, went immediately into the studio and recorded a handful of songs that are brutally unhinged.

Zealot R.I.P. will play their debut show at the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, DC on May 20, and open for Pig Destroyer at the Metro Gallery in Baltimore, MD on September 14. The band's debut EP is out May 20.
