Finland's RE-ARMED Riff Out The Melo-Death with "Beyond the Horizon"

092002

Taken from their upcoming album Ignis Aeternum, Finland's Re-Armed are excited to debut the video for their new single "Beyond the Horizon". Re-Armed are a melodic death metal band, taking notes from the likes of Children of Bodom, Omnium Gatherum, and In Flames and infusing their own style into the tone. "Beyond the Horizon" features fast and aggressive verses, an incredibly catchy chorus, and some absolutely killer riffs.

Vocalist Jouni Matilainen crosses between the melo-death and thrash sounds, with section of his vocals even sounding similar to Mille Petrozza (Kreator) and early Alexi Laiho (Bodom After Midnight, Children of Bodom). Iiro Karjalainen back up the band on drums, and from beginning to end on "Beyond the Horizon" he is unrelenting. The drums maintain an absolutely blistering beat through even the slowest sections of the song. Oskari Niekka and Allan Välimaa maintain perfect harmony on guitar throughout the track, while Juhana Heinonen maintains the foundation on bass.

Discussing the single, Re-Armed states, “Generally speaking, this song and music video was originally made to cherish the hope, to look for better days, to look beyond the horizon. In mankind's recent history, it's now or never when we need to unite and find solutions together. That's what we need today in order to survive through this difficult time. May the force be with you!”

Re-Armed's album Ignis Aeternum is out June 5th via Black Lion Records, but the video for "Beyond the Horizon" can be seen below now. If you're a fan of the track, you can save it on Spotify, or pre-order the album on Bandcamp or through Black Lion Records
