CROWN Brings The Gloom With New Single "Illumination"

If you like Katatonia, you'll love this.

Crown

From the minds of sound engineer David Husser (who has worked with artists like Depeche Mode's Alan Wilder and at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studio), and Alcest live sound guy Stéphane Azam, comes the long-standing darkness merchants of Crown. The band will release their new album The End of All Things on April 16 and we're thrilled to be premiering their brooding, Katatonia-esque single "Illumination" for you today. Seriously, given all the gloomy weather, this track could not have come at a better time.

"Life is change, its the only thing we can always expect," says Husser of the album. "It's the same with music. I personally feel offended when a band just regurgitates their own ideas and delivers a copy of the previous album, over and again… I want to take risks and let myself in for adventures and ventures into new territories, otherwise it wouldn't be art anymore."

Pre-orders for The End of All Things are available here physically and here digitally.

It sounds like a Perturbator song went nuts alongside a black metal vocalist.
