New MESHUGGAH Song, "Nostrum" Is A Snare-Filled Nightmare

It's a Meshuggah track, so prepare yourself.

It's a Meshuggah track, so prepare yourself.

Meshuggah's new album The Violent Sleep Of Reason seems like the band is revisiting its old Chaosphere-era sound, though with 100% more chaos this time around. As was evidenced with their first single, "Born In Dissonance," the music is familiar, but the band still add a new twist.

The band's new track "Nostrum" is a great example of that comparison, with its generous use of snare accents, riffs that sound like they're continuously falling down the stairs, and the overall mid-paced insanity of the track.

The Violent Sleep Of ReasonĀ is out October 7. Pre-order it here.
