I have to admit, with less than a month until the 3D-IMAX release of Metallica's 3D movie, I'm kind of getting excited to see it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting the greatest film ever made, but I am really curious to see what the hype is all about. There is no denying Metallica put all their effort into making this a good release, and I'm curious to see how it pans out.
While we've seen two trailers already, today we get our first full taste of a song, in the form of a live version of "Master of Puppets" from the soundtrack:
I mean, of course it sounds great! I'm sure there was a good amount of post-production done on the track, but while listening to this all I could think about was how much more awesome this will sound with IMAX sound.
Metallica: Through the Never hits IMAX 3D theaters on September 27th, with a wide release on October 4th.
