I'm not sure how I feel about this. At a recent live gig with his new solo band, Newsted, Jason Newsted decided to whip out some classics, as in some Metallica songs. The former Metallica bassist and his backing band performed "Whiplash," "Creeping Death," and “My Friend Of Misery.” Overall, it looks like everybody is having a good time, and I guess that's what's important. Here is video:

How do you feel about Jason covering his former band? Clearly, he holds no ill will towards the band, even saying he'd step back into the bass position should the band need a fill-in for Trujillo but should he be rehashing his past?
