Insomnium will be releasing Shadows of the Dying Sun on Apr. 29 and from what we've heard of the album it's your typical amazing Insomnium fare. Seriously, did anyone expect Insomnium to drop a turd at this point? They couldn't write a bad album if the consciously tried to. Swing down to the bottom of the post if you're looking to jam "Black Heart Rebellion," which is a bit longer than the other singles we've heard up to now but just as awesome. The band will also be on Reddit at 3 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) today as well to answer all your burning questions. They're encouraging you to get pretty personal as well.
"Have you ever wondered how Finns cope with minus 30°C (-22 F) without freezing their balls off? Why Finnish people can out-drink the Swedes anytime? How it is normal for us to sit butt-naked in Sauna with our best mates in complete silence and feel perfectly comfortable? How do you combine regular day jobs with life out on tour? Here's your chance to get inside Finnish psyche with the members of Insomnium: a Finnish band whose music is firmly rooted in Scandinavian melodic death metal in the vein of At the Gates, In Flames, Amon Amarth and Amorphis, to name but a few."
Now, about that new song…speaking of which, did you pre-order the record?
