Here's Your First Taste Of PALMS, featuring Chino from DEFTONES and Members of ISIS

In the wake of ISIS' demise, drummer Aaron Harris, guitarist/programmer Clifford Meyer and bassist Jeff Caxide started jamming on a new project, which eventually became Palms. The band recruited a friend to help out with vocals, who knows a thing or two about belting out emotion, Chino Moreno of Deftones.

We first wrote about Palms about a year ago, and today we finally get to hear our first taste of what the music sound likes from these guys:

To be succinct, it basically sounds like mellow Isis with Chino's vocals over it. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's not exactly revolutionary. I'm sure this track is a part of a "bigger picture" of the album, and I will reserve any judgement until hearing the album as a whole.

I'll get the chance when Palms’ debut album is released on June 25 via Ipecac. Are you pumped for Palms?
