From First To Last is dropping its first record in five years come Apr. 28 through Sumerian Records. The album, titled Dead Trees, will feature Periphery's Spencer Sotelo on lead vocals. As we've said before, Sotelo's involvement with From First To Last doesn't mean he's quitting Periphery or anything like that! Just helping out a fellow band.
From First To Last has barely been on my radar throughout the course of my life. The only real reason I know who the group is, is because electronica artist Skrillex (née Sonny Moore) fronted the band that fact pops up constantly on just about every "Did You Know" post ever. So let's finally get around to listening to group, yeah?
Well that was definitely music. Come on, "I'm a fucked up mess without you?" Really? It's 2015 and we're still getting choruses like it's 2005 and skunk hair is still a thing? Where are the scene girls named Christina Crisis and emo dudes with straightened hair still hot fresh off the iron? I get that that's the kind of band From First To Last is, but damn… this is lame.
