There is a Deep Purple tribute album on the horizon. Re-Machined: A Tribute to Deep Purple's Machine Head comes out on September 25th and will have DP tributes by Iron Maiden, Black Label Society, Steve Vai, Santana and the singer of Papa Roach (why?!) and others. The cover I was most interested in was Metallica's, and the band made it available above. I think they did a respectable job. What do you think? Here is the original version, for reference:
