Lamb of God has been sporadically dropping singles of its new album and they've all been pretty different from one another. For instance, "Erase This" was a pretty straightforward jam, "512" slowed it down a bit, while "Overlord" got all Alice In Chains on our collective asses. Now we've got "Embers," which sounds a lot like classic Lamb of God save for the ambient-meets-heavy middle section with Deftones frontman Chino Moreno… and holy shit does it work!
Seriously, VII: Sturm Und Drang might be the band's most diverse work yet. I'm in love with every song that has come out so far and "Embers" is doing it for me as well. It's everything I love about the band with a little extra on top!
