Do you like epic songs with huge riffs? Then do we have a record for you!

Monolithic and frankly epic in scope, Archelon's debut record Tribe Of Suns is more than just another brainy metal album. It's the sort of post-metal odyssey that few groups dare take. The band travels through wonderfully dense aspects of the darker side of the human psyche through the lens of ancient civilizations. It makes for not just thought provoking listening but also an album that you can't help but to want to spin time and time again.

With this release, Archelon show themselves to be capable of creating immaculately thought out and conceptually bold songs that flow elegantly from one to the next. It's been a long road for Archelon to get to this album release, but it seems well worth it. This is a record that thrills and guides us towards a sense of pure sonic absolution.

The band had this to say:

We recorded the album at Nø Studio with Joe Clayton, the guitarist in his current project Pijn, in August last year. Going into the studio we already had the songs settled and having played them live a few times before we found it surprisingly easy to get all the parts down with relative speed. Regardless, Joes influence really shines through and brought out the best in us, making it and incredible learning experience for us as a band. Coupled with signing to Sludgelord Records, a newly formed DIY digital distribution label, we feel this album has the best in the underground scene behind it. The albums theme is based on our interest in ancient civilizations and touches on the subject of pilgrimage and elements of the human psyche. Particularly grief, madness and desire. We're incredibly proud to present our debut album, and to be part of the newly formed Sludgelord Records family. We hope you enjoy Tribe Of Suns!
